It's late. it's tardy. It's here. Finally! It has been a difficult year in many ways. Many trials have been endured, events have taken their measure and storms have brewed. But, we're still here! We will move on. Actually, we never stopped moving. It's just been painstakingly slow. One step forward - two steps back. Something like that.
September the 11th and that which has followed has had its effect (and still does). I'm sure that many, if not most, of you have felt some of these effects to one degree or another. We just keep soldiering on and wait for the sun to come up, or peek through, sometime.
Many pitfalls occurred in negotiating and setting up the reunion for this year. Much time was lost. Plans had to be changed, re-evaluated, even relocated. New issues replaced solved, thought solved or placated ones. Frustration has visited often - other words too.
Problems have arisen and much time and energy has been expended. But heck, what do you say? LET'S HAVE A REUNION!
Positives have occurred and/or been achieved. An OGS trip will occur this August! People have been found! Yes, we've lost a few also. (Dale Childers -that hurts) Future events have been set up, planned, prepared for & etc. Several of you have 'been there' in one way or another. Guys have made contact with 'old buddies. Much, much more!
Several important items are in the newsletter. Unfortunately, some are not. Operation Gold Star, Dues Donations, DQS Book, Roster Maintenance, PBS Documentary and, of course, Reunion Information are among the items of importance.
So "Dusters Up!, Guns Up! & Lights Up!" Let's go we've got business to do, fun to have, each other to enjoy! Let's Do It! ADA Lead the Way! FIRST TO FIRE!
