Subject: New info needed.

I am reading more information on a Duster crew that were in a bunker in Gio Ling on March 23, 1968. The NVa fired a arty round that hit their bunker wounding all the crew. I believe all had to be med-evac transported to Quang Tri or Dong Ha. No KIAs reported. Any one know the crew and remember this?
Also the person asking about an Amtrack. The 1st/44th worked with 1st Amtrack division in I corp. A amtrack looks like a bigh cracker box. It will float( most of the time LOL) They were aluminum, not very battle worthy. Go do a search on 1st amtrack division in Vietnam they have pictures I rode one across the Qua Viet river, scared to death, cut boot laces pulled off all gear, water sloshed over the top, pumps were running to empty it out. I added a little water to the situation!!! Never again!!!
An ontos was Marine thing that had 6 recoiless rifles(106) , had a 283 chevy v8 engine sure sounded good and was cute. Not much protestion for the crew , but would kick butt when it got a chance!!
