Pat if you thinking about 'shoot and scoot sites' for arty raids etc. I think thats going to be near impossible. We self named a site FSB DILLIGAF which is FSB "Does It Look Like I Give A F..." along the QL-9, I doubt will make any record. I'm sure there was thousands more. At this site it was a circle the wagons, no wire, fox hole type of position. left alot of mechanicals in the area. I'll try and send you a more precise link for the 'google earth' idea.
