FSB DILLIGAF, I think I may have been there a time or two. You're right, not much chance of finding any record other than in the memories of those who were there.

I'm thinking more in terms of LZs that were permanent for at least a few months. I've mentioned LZ Willy which was supposed to serve as an observation/blocking force for entry into An Loa Valley. It was abandoned about 6 months or so from it's initial opening. I also heard of and went to a few fire support bases that were at least temporarily stationary but not permanent. LZ Orange comes to mind. Also, LZ Two Bits where my btty's HQ was located was apparently abandoned and I have not seen it on a map.

The maps the tanker has on his web sight do list a number of LZs that were in the AO we worked but not all of them.
