Roy Fultz; How did your track numbers run??? If A- Battery used A1 through A16, then B used B17 through B32, then C used C33 through C48 and D used D49 through D64... "C30" doesn't fit while "C40" does ! The 1/44 and 4/60 used four characters. The first was a letter for the battery...next was a number for the platoon...next was a number for the section...and last was a number for the squad/track. "Triple Deuce" 222 or 111 were the least complicated to figure out. Temporary replacement tracks had still other numbers. How did the 5/2 number their trucks? In 1/44 we had a Letter with two numbers after it. I.E. "C14" was Charlie battery's 2.5 ton mess truck. How about trailers...the jeep trailers were M416 1/4-ton...and the 2.5-ton trucks dagged M105 1.5-ton cargo trailers or M106 250-gallon water trailers, but I don't recall how they were numbered.
