Subject: Passing of James M. Shea D-5/2d Dusters '66-67

Ed Willmarth has informed me of the passing of James Michael Shea on 2/14/2010.

James was an original D-5/2d vet that went over by boat. His bio is on page 139 of the NDQSA History book.

James Michael Shea

December 8, 1946 - February 14, 2010
James was originally from Chicago but living in California for many years. Beloved husband of Lydia A. Shea and stepfather of Jim Gascon. Brother of Patricia Carrillo, Lawrence Shea, and John Marczewski. With many cousins, nieces and nephews and their children, special nephew Ralph Carrillo and best friend Fred Sosinski and many friends and neighbors. He will be remembered for his passion of cooking, traveling, and great taste in music.

He served in the army in the Vietnam War from 1966-1968. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with a Bronze Service Star, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/ device, and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry.

He will be missed dearly.

Services will be held on Thursday 02/18 at the Pierce Brothers Valhalla Memorial Park & Mortuary, 10621 Victory Blvd. North Hollywood, CA 91606, from 6pm-9pm.
